Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a midwestern girl and have been married to my tech-loving, child-at-heart, servant-minded husband, Marc, for 15 years. I’m an introvert who is much more comfortable writing than talking. Music, nature, puzzles, deep conversations, reading– these are a few of my favorite things… (cue Julie Andrews)
I am a Christ-following, former 4th-grade teacher, now homeschool mom to my three amazing kiddos. They are 7, 11 & 13. This is our 9th year of homeschooling. Our methods of homeschooling have changed a lot over the years in order to meet our kids’ needs. We are eclectic homeschoolers who place a big emphasis on reading great books, studying all of history, and pursuing our God-given strengths and interests to the glory of His name.
I started this blog 3 years ago because I wanted to encourage other parents of outside-the-box kids who may feel isolated or alone. I also like to write about our homeschool journey, curriculum, and whatever else strikes my fancy!
